MBK Nitro 1997-2002
The Yamaha Aerox, also known as the MBK Nitro, is one of the best-selling scooters in Europe.
This sporty-looking scooter with a relatively compact frame has been on the market since 1997. The first generation existed until 2013, when the design was modernized.
In 2018, MBK and Yamaha are making a radical change, abandoning the Minarelli 2-stroke engine in favor of a more environmentally-friendly 4-stroke engine block.
MBK Nitro 2 STROKE: ENGINE AND TUNING
The Aerox is a modern scooter with automatic transmission (CVT) and auto-lube system. In terms of power, the Aerox delivers around 3 HP at 7,000 rpm. The Aerox has become a favourite to many scooter riders over the years thanks to its reliability and low maintenance costs. Thanks to the wide range of original and aftermarket engine parts and the very common LC Minarelli engine, it is easy to enhance engine performance. Even riders without much know-how can obtain more power with inexpensive parts and a minimum of technical skills.
