MBK 51 magnum racing xr - General information
The MBK 51 Magnum XR LC, the sporty version of the MBK 51, first came onto the market in 1996. It was one of the most modern mopeds at the time, not only because of its sporty look - for the first time it was fitted with clip-on handlebars and stylish racing rims - but also because of the innovative technology, e.g. a chain was now used for the secondary drive instead of a cable.
MBK 51 Magnum - Engine
The 51 MBK Magnum is equipped with a two-stroke engine that provides impressive performance. The air-cooled engine has a displacement of 49.9 cm³, which resulted in good response and acceleration and decent top speed. As a rule, the moped could achieve an output of around 2.5 to 4 hp. The mixture is prepared in a SHA carburetor Ø 14 mm. Incidentally, the CVT on MBK mopeds is available with and without a clutch function. The primary drive is belt-driven, while the secondary drive, which transmits the torque to the rear wheel, is chain-driven.
MBK 51 - Chassis
The front wheel suspension consists of a telescopic fork and the rear wheel suspension consists of a spring strut. The brakes in front and rear are drum brakes with a diameter of 80 mm.
MBK 51 moped - Features
Unusual for its time, the MBK Magnum was already equipped with a speedometer up to 120 km/h and a tachometer. If you are looking for a cylinder or a tuning exhaust, you will find what you are looking for in our online store.
