Peugeot Fox - General information

The Peugeot Fox  first rolled off the production line in 1995. Peugeot wanted to build a kind of hybrid between a moped and a scooter, with the ulterior goal to allow for easyto-handle transportation of objects. In order to cover longer distances, a tank of more than  5 liters was installed, and it was possible to carry a suitcase-like, large container, which did not really work well on the previous models. It is the typical pizza delivery moped in many film productions, including the 2001 comedy movie "Charmant Garçon" by Patrick Chesnais.

Peugeot 103 Fox - Engine

Like most of its siblings, the 103 Peugeot Fox is equipped with an air-cooled, single-cylinder 2-stroke Peugeot engine. The engine delivers a fair amount of power right out of the box and is the perfect moped to repair, service, restore, modify, customize and tune yourself. The mixture is prepared in a Gurtner carburetor and the moped is powered by an automatic transmission (variator with V-belt).

Peugeot Fox - Chassis

The 103 Fox has a tubular frame with an integrated tank to ensure better stability during transportation. A telescopic fork was fitted at the front and a mono hydraulic shock absorber at the rear. The brake system consists of drum brakes at the front (Ø 110 mm) and rear (Ø 105 mm). The front tire, 2.25x16, and the rear tire, 2.75x16, are both tubeless.
