The transmission ratio of the gearbox has a major impact on engine performance. The gear ratio is changed it can keep up with the surplus power of a tuned engine and transmit this power into tangible results, be it in terms of top speed or acceleration. A taller gear favors top speed at the expense of acceleration.
This is a primary transmission Polini, teeth = 17 / 41, with straight teeth (= reduced friction and heat generation).
Note: Changing the gear on the intermediate shaft requires a hydraulic press or a corresponding assembly tool.
RoLler Getriebe
Das Getriebe von Rollern und einigen Mofas befindet sich in einem Gehäuse hinter Kupplung und Wandler und hat die Aufgabe, die Drehzahl zu reduzieren und letztendlich die Radachse anzutreiben.
Das Getriebe eines Motorrollers hat einen direkten Einfluss auf die Höchstgeschwindigkeit. Wenn der Motor genügend Leistung und Drehmoment bei niedrigen Drehzahlen entwickelt, kann man eine längere Übersetzung wählen, um eine höhere Endgeschwindigkeit zu erreichen, ohne dass Einbussen bei der Beschleunigung spürbar sind.
