Are lever guards useful?
The installation of motorcycle lever guards offer many advantages. So if you're into racing or you just want to protect the end of your handlebars and, what's more important, your brake / clutch levers and hands, these black aluminium Polini Lever Guards are the way to go. Moto GP added the mandatory use of these Brake Lever Guards to their regulations a long time ago, and over time they've become a staple on many race scooters; among others events, they are now mandatory for the Polini Italian Cup. The guards protect the brake and clutch levers in case of a crash and thus allow for resuming the race. The lever protectors also prevent involuntary braking maneuvers during contact with other riders. Construction and use of lever guards
The inside of the lever guards is made of sturdy aluminum. They are covered with a high quality plastic coating with Polini logo. The lever guards are mounted in the handlebar ends, which means you need open end grips or cut the grip ends yourself.

Lenkerenden
In den meisten Fällen werden Lenkerendengewichte nur wegen des Aussehens hinzugefügt, sie haben aber darüber hinaus auch einige nützliche Funktionen:
Vorteile von Vibrationsdämpfern
- Bei einem Sturz schützen sie die Gummigriffe, die abreißen könnten, sowie den Gasgriff, dessen Kunststoff zum Einreißen neigt.
- Wenn man auf beiden Seiten des Lenkers zwei gleiche Massen anbringt, verleiht man der Einheit aus Lenker, Lenksäule und Rad in Bezug auf die Achse der Lenksäule mehr Trägheit. Dadurch wird die Energie, die notwendig ist, um diese Einheit in Vibrationen oder Schwingungen zu versetzen, größer und das Motorrad oder der Roller wird stabilisiert.
Nachteile von Lenkergewichten
- Es gibt jedoch einen Nachteil, wenn man Lenkerstummel verwendet: man muss das "geschlossene" Ende des Gasgriffs aufschneiden. Das bedeutet, dass Schmutz leichter zwischen Griff und Lenker gelangen und sich dort festsetzen kann und somit die Drehung des Gasgriffs beeinträchtigen kann.
