The float regulates the fuel level in the float chamber, so that there is always enough fuel for the carburetor and the gasoline does not continuously flow and overflow.

Gurtner carburetors were mainly used on Peugeot and Yamaha. There are original almost only 12mm models, replicas are also available with 16mm. Gurtner carburetors require their own jets.
